DATA ACTIVISM: Following the Snowden revelations, citizens increasingly see massive data collection as a synonymous of big control.. but big data also provide novel opportunities for collective action. New social practices rooted in technology and data, which we termed ‘data activism’, emerge in the fringes to involve ordinary citizens.
